The screw lift (spiral lift) that we often refer to is divided into trapezoidal screw lift and ball screw lift. Compared to others, both types of elevators have their own advantages, but the specific use of which elevator to match the working conditions depends on the requirements for equipment speed, load, etc. Of course, the accuracy, speed, and service life of ball screw elevators are higher than those of ordinary trapezoidal screw elevators. For customers with high standards, choosing ball screw elevators is better.
No matter what mechanical equipment is used for a long time, improperly used, or not properly maintained, there will always be some problems, big or small. Today, Demai Transmission will talk to you about the common problems and solutions of ball screw elevators.
1. Worn worm gear of ball screw elevator
The worm gear of the elevator is generally made of tin bronze, and the corresponding worm material is 45 steel. Elevators wear out slowly during normal operation, and some elevators can be used for more than 10 years. If the wear rate is fast, it is necessary to consider whether the selection is correct, whether it is operating under overload, as well as the material, assembly quality, or usage environment of the worm gear.
2. Heating and oil leakage of ball screw elevator
Elevators generally use copper worm gears, while worm gears are made of harder steel. Due to the rolling friction transmission, a large amount of heat is generated during operation, causing differences in thermal expansion between the various parts and seals of the elevator, resulting in gaps between the mating surfaces. The lubricating oil becomes thinner due to the increase in temperature, which can easily cause leakage.
There are three main reasons for this situation. Firstly, the quality of the meshing friction surface is poor; Secondly, the selection of the amount of lubricating oil added is incorrect; The third issue is poor assembly quality and usage environment. Improving these points will make everything fine.
3. The worm bearing of the ball screw elevator is damaged
When the elevator malfunctions, even if the elevator housing is well sealed, it is often found that the gear oil inside the ball screw elevator is emulsified, and the bearings are rusted, corroded, and damaged. This is because after the elevator has been running for a period of time, the temperature of the lubricating oil rises and then cools, resulting in condensation water mixed with water. Of course, it is also closely related to the quality of bearings and assembly processes.
